National Cybersecurity Center to Host 2019 Cyber Symposium 

September 19 & 20

Conference Brings Together Top Cyber Thought Leaders to Educate, Entertain, Inspire Attendees to Secure the World

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, September 3rd, 2019 – National Cybersecurity Center (NCC), a national non-profit for cybersecurity influencers, today announced it is hosting the 2019 National Cyber Symposium on September 19 and 20 . The event, which will be held in Colorado Springs, CO, at the Broadmoor Hotel, is designed for cybersecurity leaders across technical and non-technical professionals in business, government, education, and the military.

“We are thrilled that the National Cybersecurity Center facilities fusion across sectors in cybersecurity hosting a diverse group of attendees and amazing speakers from across the nation right here in our great city of Colorado Springs,” said Mayor John Suthers of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

At the 2019 National Cyber Symposium, leaders from business, government, and education will converge to share, learn, and empower each other to find answers to the challenges presented by today’s ever-changing security landscape.

We are grateful for a myriad of diverse and timely topics and speakers that we think will really inspire action and innovation from Symposium attendees,” said Vance Brown, CEO of the NCC.

The 2019 Symposium’s schedule highlights include keynote speeches from Admiral Michael Rogers, former director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and John Chen, Executive Chairman and CEO of BlackBerry Limited. Breakout sessions will cover topics ranging from cyber innovation, election security, artificial intelligence, females in cybersecurity, threat mitigation and response, public-private partnerships, and workforce development and cyber education.

Additionally, the conference will hold a panel on the newly-formed Space Information Sharing and Analysis Center (ISAC), the only space-dedicated ISAC. Housed within the NCC, the Space ISAC is purposed in empowering and enabling cyber influencers from commercial, academia, government, and military to work together to build, deliver, research, and develop cybersecurity training curriculum and an analysis portal to ultimately secure space communications.

The Space ISAC was conceived by the Science & Technology Partnership Forum in 2017 in response to recognized information sharing gaps within the cybersecurity and space community and supports the White House’s 2018 National Cyber Strategy. White House National Security Council Spokesman Garrett Marquis said of the Space ISAC’s formation, “This Administration strongly supports the formation of private-sector driven information sharing and analysis centers. The new Space ISAC aims to help gather, analyze, and disseminate critical cyber threat information related to space among the Federal, commercial, and international community and advances the 2018 National Cyber Strategy’s priority to enhance space cybersecurity.”
