A Starbucks in Buenos Aires was found to have a modified WiFi network that allowed cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin to be mined on user’s computers without their knowledge. Unsuspecting users would sip their coffee while malicious JavaScript used their computer’s CPU power to make unknown people money. It took Starbucks 10 whole days to remove the sneaky code.
