Top iOs Malware Remover Very Malware-y

This is one of those cases of the fire truck is on fire. Turns out one of the the top-paid utility apps on the Apple App Store is a little gem known as “Adware Doctor,” which sounds like a pretty legit piece of software. Oh, except that Adware Doctor, which is supposed to help protect your device from adware and malware, is actually malware itself. Irony anyone? Apparently. An observant security researcher (kudos to @privacyis1st) detected the suspicious behavior of Adware Doctor…over a month ago. The malicious malware-app-in-disguise was capturing browser history without user consent (seriously breaking Apple’s terms of service) and sending it to a server in China. Apple finally removed the app and we’d recommend you do the same if you happen to have it on one of your devices.
